Free Tibet from what? Free Tibet to what? You need to go to university and learn some real history.
Tibetans are now free from their Lama and British slave masters, free to follow what ever religion they like and free to go to schools.
Why don't you go and ask Dalai what kind of society Tibet was when the Lama was ruling Tibet? What kind of society he wants to create? A monk that want to be king and own every properties, a monk that want to kick all other race out of Tibet. A monk that ban everyone else to speak freely, a monk that want to force everyone else to follow his pseudo-budhism.

If you have the brain to study history, you will know US lost every war to the liberated China in the last century, even China didn't have any modern weapon at that time. Now China will easily wipe US off the surface of earth.

In an economic interest, if tibet does get free, it'll starved to death because their economy and resource is solely rely on that of China's. So not sure, if it's a good idea for tibet to free themselves unless their monks and llamas start specializing in other jobs other than chanting in prayers.

I think it is time for China to leave Tibet. That being said, the IOC, for whatever reason, chose Beijing as the location for the Olympics and I really don't think that it is fair to the athletes who have trained for years for the chance to compete to be dragged into a political mess. If anything world focus on China will serve to increase public attention to the human rights issues there and will lead to more pressure being put on the government of China.
