The tree far resting(Forest) so no sound will be heard, even though sound deliver. Sound vibrations travel only less distance. If u want to hear u have to go to forest or the forest has to near.

Now these are the kinds of questions I like to see in the Philosophy section...questions that are very simple, yet designed to challenge the mind...
This particular question pertains to the idea of believing in that which cannot be perceived by the senses...one of mankind's oldest and most ancient of ponders...
I think this question was designed to enlighten us upon the fact that though we are fascinated and ruled solely by science in this day and age (scientifically yes- the tree DID make a sound when it fell), We cannot discount the proof of the tree actually falling and making a sound just because we did not perceive it personally. Therefore, what we could not have known, seen, heard, touched, felt, or tasted actually DOES have a basis in our conception of reality beyond the spectrum of physicalities...something for the skeptics of the world to ponder...and a great brain tease.

To sufficiently answer this question you first need to define the concepts of "one", "no-one" & "it" & "sound".
Nothing exists in a vacuum, there is always a "one", a something to hear the event.
The tree (it) doesn't make a sound in & of itself, sound is a wave generated by 2 forces coming into contact within an atmospheric environment.
But in quantum terms, if there is no observer, how can one prove that the tree even existed, let alone fell? It is not a part of my reality, therefore no sound was made that I know of.

I always loved that question but yes it still makes a sound even if no one was there to hear it fall...
