smoother skin on my face?

Ever since high school I have been using a good facial care regimen, cleanser, toner, moisturizer in the morning. exfoliate, cleanse, toner, night cream at night (I use neutrogina, dove, and clean and clear brands). I also try to do a mask at least once a week. Unfortunately I still have rough, problem areas that I would like to be smoother. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can't afford designer creams/lotions etc or a monthly facial on my budget, but if anyone knows of anything that would help to smooth over problem areas (mainly my chin and hairline areas) that would be great. I just really want smooth skin! I feel like i've done good work with my facial care and should have smoother skin than I do. Thanks in advance and I always choose best answer!

p.s. I'm 23 so puberty and hormones are not the issue anymore, lol.

I agree that you're using too much stuff on your face daily. These areas are sensitive and you strip the natural moisture away with all those products especially ones with alcohol. I use a moisturizing face wash daily and a gentle exfoliating one every other day or so. I use witch hazel to clean up excess makeup. Bio Oil is good for repairing skin anywhere from evening out facial tone and wrinkles to reducing streatch marks, its about $11 at walgreens or ponds moisturizing face cream. I use both.

I've lived quite a long time and have acquired some know how on this subject. Its not so much what you put on your face although you need to keep it clean but what you put into your body which ends up flowing through your veins, capilaries, and arteries, things the body and face are made up of. A good regimen of drinking water (if you can find water that doesn't taste like its container. I prefer glass container water. A clean diet, of fruits, veggies, nuts, fish, whole wheat (no white flour products or white sugar). Try raw sugar if you must have it once in a while. I read an article that said desserts should be a rarity. Learn to enjoy homemade teas. I make herb tea by boiling water, shutting the flame off and then adding herbal tea until seaped, adding honey and then refrigerating it so there is plenty of good drinking when you need it. This is great in the summer especially, when you need to be hydrated well. I heard if you drink adequately then you'll want to eat less. Fresh air and good outdoor activity once in a while can't hurt. Cycling in a safe manner, ect. Just rethink if you have to how to eat healthy and drink adequately and if your skin really needs to it will behave for you. If you eat something not so healthy once in a while, just perservere and get back on track because everyone because of their circumstance eats something in a hurry once in a while that as long as its not too often, it'll be ok. And don't be too conserned about your looks because its what kind of person you are thats most important to being happy.

I use the MaryKay Microdermabrasion kit. The scrubbing exfoliator makes my skin very soft and the lotion adds extra moisture. Be careful though, you should only use it once or twice a week!

Here's a website that has it at a discount rate: http://www.pinkdiscount.com/shop/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=53

Also, don't forget to drink lots of water to replenish your skin!!
