actually, my mom and her 2 sisters bday is late July early August, we (my cuzs and i) told them we will sponser a trip to Tobago for the weekend for rest and relaxation. I'm looking for a guest house for them to stay for 2 nights.
PS. please keep in mind that there are two 'only child" paying for their mom to stay in Tobago, so Hilton Tobago is NOT an option.
ohhhh, and dey boldface, dey want it to be close to town (me ent know if they talking scarborough town or crown point town. but it must be close to town - "they want to be able to walk to get something to eat....they have no intention of cooking". and since i sure dey cant find their way around in Tobago, it ent making much sense bringing the car.
HELP!!!!!!

Chick check, Look up 'Golden Tistle' and ' Spence' Golden Tistle and Spence are both in Crown point and within walking distance ( literally) to everything, the beach, all de crab and dumpling huts, bars, breakfast, local shopping! - Golden tistle is around $250 - $350 tt daily, the price ranges with the size of room etc, it has a kitchenette, if yuh wah yuh bush tea in de mornin, very clean place, resonably sized pool, it is more like villas than a hotel and they have a kitchen with a really good local cook, you can places meals for order, and maids 'once over' yuh room daily. - Spence is nice as well and priced around the same. This is a newer place almost like mini apartments , with kitchenettes, a very small pool and no in house kitchen/cook or daily maid service. I've been to both and both are pleasent stays, personally i like Golden Tistle ( now this it is not the newest place!), i value them for the cook and the maid service. the only thing in my opinion that Spence have on Golden tistle is the 'prettier' more mordern look. I wish i could give you contacts.....................but....................... Check them out and have a good trip!
For a foreign person heading this site it is absolutely helpful - listed are accomodation ranging from type (guest house, self contained, studio apt, house, villa, etc) Prices are included as well. She also lists all the beaches, gas stations, hot spots, you name it!
The place I stayed was cosy (not five star) but the view of the beach was amazing and so was the price ($300.00 for a 2 bedroom self-contained apt, $150.00 for single bedroom) send me an email to get more info - Its in Mt. St. George and about 15 - 20 minutes from Scarborough. Its best if you have a vehicle. If you are coming via the plane then I suggest you look for a place within the Crown Point or Bon Accord area (The best food options are contained here) and its relatively near to the airport (SO if its peace and quite - search more into the island - Crown Point is the most lively area)
Girl if you are going with a car or renting one you have more options - drive all over the island from Crown Point to Charlotteville and back around again - you can circle the entire island in four hours if yuh driving (with sight seeing and testing out the beaches yuh go take longer - walk with yuh camera to capture the breathtaking views past Charlotteville and straight to Lanse Fourmi! Do take a dip in Englishsmans Bay, Castara, Mt. Irvine, Pigeon Point (doh pay eh, bathe before the gates) Store Bay isn't my fav. but it could work, Man o war bay. Kingsbay (wonderful view from the lookout, Turlte beach, etc
The site will show you most of what you need to know! Enjoy your trip I going in August
anyway if dey want to stay in Scarborough, there is a guest house by a lady we does call Miss I. her place is right in town an is walking distance from the market, port, kfc, royal castle, roti shop, and nuff cook food.
if dey wan to stay near the airport, then it have Spence, Jimmy's, Kariwak, Golden Thistle, Stewarts, Wood Castle. any of these are walking distance to airport, beach and nuff nuff ting to eat.
i am not sure of the rates though but i have a girlfren in work who does know all dem ting. so ah will give yuh some more feed back tomorrow.
