I am helping organize a charity event at my work. Our goal is to raise money for a fallen soldier's family. We would like to find a soldier's widow in Michigan who has children and is in a difficult financial situation. I have a list of all of Michigan's fallen soldiers but now I need more background information. Any idea on who I could contact for that info?

Wonderful thing that your group is doing....So far as the background, I would be very careful in that area, perhaps you can go through his Commander or his Unit's supervisor,..or if they belonged to a Church ask their minister or priest.... I know that it will be greatly appreciated, and we need more people like your group, to recognize these fallen souls.
Because of how he died, the families are going to be proud, thankful and sad all at the same time as it will also bring to the surface the tragedy again.
