Its the DB's look at the NFL teams and see how many DB's these teams go through. Why, with the complicated offenses plus most passing plays are timing plays the DB has to react fast, and do this without getting called for penalty thats tough.
Then the Db in zone type coverages must know his zone area, when to drop off and when to help. Most teams when they see a new or inexpierenced db on the field thay will attack that new db. The second hardest position is QB. Got to be able to read defenses and make the adjustments in order to move your offense, that alone being in the NFL with all those crazy coverages put in place is hard to do and like a
fresh db, if the opponent see's a new or inexpierenced qb, the defense not only goes after him but start doing all kinds of crazy things to keep him confused. The two positions teams expose when they see a new or inexpierenced player are the two hardest positions the db and the qb....Show more

I am going to say the DT position regardless of nose tackle or even the three-technique. I am just basing this off the fact how hard it is to draft a DT in the draft. I am pretty sure that DT has the highest bust percentage behind QB and maybe WR. Don't quote me on this though.

Second would be have to be LB. Not because of what the top answer said, but the fact that they have to diagnose and read everything in front of them. They have to fight through all of that trash, but still have to know whats around you see how the play progresses. Gotta know the guards first step.

Third, but could be second is CB. Just for the fact that you can be put on an island all by yourself with a WR and knowing that this league is designed to benefit QB-WR.

For Offense,
WR- They don't just run routes and wait for the ball. They have to know the entire defense. They have to find the soft spots in coverage. They need to spot the SAM or WILL along with the Safeties in coverage. Say a safety in Cover 2 drops back into his half of coverage and the WILL drops down into the flat to take on the RB and not taking on his assignment. To play? Keeper, because of the amount of pressure that is present with this position as being the last defender. I personally think that when I played outside mid I was playing the hardest position due to the amount of running required. My team was constantly switching out players at those positions....Show more

Having played 5 different positions (CB, WR, RB, KR, PR):

Running Back
easily you're body takes a pounding and you have to be able to do everything, block, catch, run the ball, read defenses, etc. And you have to have the combination of power and speed... ...and vision, agility, etc.

Easiest position for me was WR, but only cause I was always like the fastest guy on the field. I mean one-on-one with a corner that's slower than you is cake......Show more

there are a lot of hard positions but i find kicker pretty hard to bc wen theres 3 seconds left on the clock and yr trailing by 2 points you need that kicker to get out there and kick a field goal if he misses all the pressures on him but the hardest position to play next to qb would be WR...Show more
