Campfire Friday, pagans, which aspect of your practice do you find most meaningful?

This can be a big thing or a little even personal thing, but which part of your practice has grown very dear to you, and why?

I have two (that leap to mind just now).

I greet the sun in the morning with a song and either a little incense or (in non-smoking environs) a pinch of corn pollen. It centers me and helps me to start my day in a cheerful, positive and healthy frame of mind.

I also very much enjoy the crafts and work we do for Samhain to honor our ancestors and those beloved who have gone to the other side in the past year. remembering them and creating things which symbolize them so that we might honor them at our feast is very touching for me. It helps me feel connected to my ancestors and those loved ones gone for now, and because I do these crafts with my kids, I'm also connecting with the future and with those who will (hopefully) remember me.

Oh, and one more. I love making beer, with all it's symbolic and ritual elements. When my kids were littler, they used to sit and watch the carboway bubble after we had pitched the yeast, and they made up songs to urge the yeast along.

Hmmmm, tough question as there is so much to choose from. I would have to say performing rituals. I love the preparation and the ritual bath, the spiraling up and down of the energy, the intense feeling of divinity, the smell of incense, and even better the group hug at the end if with a group.

One of my favorite things that is dear to me is waking up and watching the sun rise over Sandia Mountain. I also enjoy the moon rise.
I sit quietly and take in the beauty of this natural gift.

I guess I would have to say it would be my relationship with the Great Goddess Brigid. The connection that I have developed with her has become quite meaningful.

I can't bring myself to list just one though. ;) My shielding and grounding techniques are really kick a** and they are very meaningful to me because I feel empowered. :)
