That would have most likely been in Africa. Although the concept of ownership would have been more of an animalistic territorialism. Groups of hominids banding together to defend a section of territory that provided for their basic needs, water, food, shelter, resources. Whenever an opposing band may have found it desireable, they would have defended it as if they owned it. A long, long, long time ago. The concept hasn't changed a lot since.

The notion of individual property rights is only a few hundred years old. In the "olden" days, a "Kingdom" was just that: The king owned everybody and everything, and was considered responsible for the success or failure of all of it. He kept power by force of wit and might and heredity.

the first humans in the world who got land were adam and eve. they leased out the Garden of Eden until their landlord God found out they ate an apple, which was against the contract, and he kicked them out, but he still gives a guiding hand to us.
