Are there any dating websites that do police background checks on members?
This is important to know since many, many sites now are used bt scammers who take thousands of dollars from unsuspecting men and women via romance scams.

At this point there to the best of my knowledge there is no specific laws governing this issue! It has become so widespread that currently this is a very hot topic amongst
our Representatives! Even with specific laws in place one still needs to use common sense & basic universal precautions
that one would use in a face to face encounter!(These cowards thrive under the cloak of anyominity).

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aNu8o
Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.
You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

It is not really possible to do accurate background cks from the information that is legally gathered. Scammers today are not the ignorant easy to spot. Many are very highly trained and very well funded. Many have training in computers and intelligence from the Stazi (East German intelligence) and KGB (Russian counter intelligence) as well as terrorist cells. What to look for are "professional photos" "too good to be true" And visit anti scam sites to look thru "stolen" photos used by scammers and look up blogs and modelling agencies books(photos of their models). And let people know when you spot phony or stolen likenesses, I report them because I know that they are not real. Always arrange to meet them! Long distance is to be suspect especially when you cannot collaborate their story. You cannot always depend on phone numbers as a person can be legit; but ask questions that almost everyone knows(in your culture) like school mascot! And on your face book, spaces etc do not put personal information or what school you attend birthday ; lie! give false non existent addresses ,and keep a email address only for that site and never used for anything else! Use phony information! Remember, to cloak yourself to make it more difficult to find you. If you are a professional have everything thru a service that records so that you can check out the source! (legit businesses will be easy to get in touch with ) IM's are used by scammers as it is much harder to track. Yahoo has their IM's end at their servers so you generally cannot trace if that message is from the US or Nigeria!! So ask for email and read the header so you can trace it's origin (hence your email used only for this purpose)!!
Meeting them is at least some proof that they exist!

I wish there were. I met my high school BF after 20 year on-line. He appeared to be Mr Wonderful........only till after we said I-DO.........then he revealed his true side and I had to have him removed by the sheriff 44 days after the wedding. As the truth came out, he terrorized his EX's family the same way. This man is really a dangerous freak. Myself and his other EX both have restraining orders against him.........yet he is on every dating site. This guy preys on vulnerable women with kids........because he is such a "family guy". His idea of family is possessing and when things don't do his way, he is violent and very destructive. I will never be able to trust after this freak.. Someone needs to monitor who is on the dating sites so this doesn't happen to more people. Yes, there are psycho women too.

I know this is going to sound weird and maybe I'm the only guy who has been successful at this but I've met alot of women and been on alot of good dates in the past 3 years thanks to Myspace. Its the easiest way to get to know someone quickly without spending any money. Eharmony is a sure fire way to go but the only matches you might get will be from people who don't even live in your state. So pick your posion.
