I've got an interview. Should I slick down my ponytail or go dry?

I'm a guy, and I've got a job interview this week where I need to dress up. I don't know if I should put it in a ponytail and leave it dry, where it'll be sort of bushy 'cause I have thick hair. I could put some stuff in it so it would stay neat, but I think I'd look like a reject from The Godfather. It's a management position where I could dress casual but I'm thinking about wearing a suit to the interview. I guess I have split ends or whatever because it starts to look raggedy after a while, and greasy stuff might keep that down and look neater.

If it's okay to put stuff in it, what do you recommend?

It's a job in the motorcycle industry. They encourage long hair, tattos, piercings, etc. so keep that in mind...

I've been working a long time and more and more often I'm seeing men with ponytails. Neat is the answer.. period. Regardless of the dress code you must appear professional. wear a good suit that fits, one button undone and leave the tie at home and wear a good pair of shoes.

Go to the drug store or hair salon and purchase some frizzy hair conditioner, use a little goo to help keep it under control but not too much cuz the greasy look will make your hair look dirty.

The way you dress for the interview is basicly how they will expect to see you every day. So if you think you would look like a reject from the Godfather, it does not sound like you would be comfortable wearing it that way every day. Dress professionally but be yourself at the same time. Employers don't like a bait and switch.

You might try some frizz ease or something similar that will not look slicked down but will control the bushy ness. I like conditioners that are made to enhance curls also they tend to control frizz without making your hair greasy.

You dont have to cut your hair not everyone in this world has to look the same and employers appreciate diversity nowadays.I would defintiley do a nice neat ponytail keep it clean go easy on hair product u dont want to look greasy, also keep a nice clean shaved beard.Good luck on your interview!!!

I've had mid-back to waist length tresses most of my life.
