My T-mobile phone has error message: "SIM card synch failed". What does that mean?

I had this phone for 4 years. It failed last year - no messages. I was worried when I saw this message earlier. So, I took out battery and checking on my SIM card. All seem to be OK. I turned it back on, well, not recognizing any network. I turned it off and on again. I finally got connected.

I wonder what "SIM card synch failed" means on my T-mobile phone. Does it have to do with a ported number from damn AT&T Wireless?

my t-mobile phone rebooted last week, too. I guess it was a "system glitch". lol

Firstly read the terms and conditions, I am sure its there sumwhere. Some mobile operators do give free talk time and SMS's, but never to land lines (fixed network). This free service could be to mobile users within the same operator or to other operators...
