i have a final for my drama class and i have to make up a character which i have to act out, any suggestions?

I hate this assignment. All professional actors work from a script except those in improv companies. And you teacher wants you to be a playwright without any training.
How about a hypochondriac who is also a kleptomaniac which is how he/she looks for cures to his/her maladies or supposed maladies.
