If the Bible is the perfect word of the living god...?

Why is it so abominable? Shouldn't it be the best book available on at least one subject? Clearly not science. Not math or geography (it claims that pi is an integer and that there are mountains from which you can see the entire Earth). Certainly not morality.

I just don't know why these people who believe in "the words of god" can deny that they are the words of a couple of men or women who wrote it?

It is not the perfect word. It is "God's word", but the Bible's teachings are given true meaning from the Catholic Church. Without their intrepretation, it is just words on a page writen years after Christ's death.
