1995 Saturn SL1 Battery and Generator?

Question

About a year or so ago, my old battery bit the dust (it no longer held a charge) and I replaced it with a new one.  Just yesterday, the new battery bit the dust and I replaced the battery yet again.

Could the generator be doing something harmful to the battery?  Or is it more likely I just got a low quality battery last time?  The earlier battery had been in the car for many years before failing.

The panel lights do not indicate any problem (e.g "Check Engine" light).

Have the Charging System checked , it maybe over Charging ,also have the battery load tested 
as for the check engine light, that Monitors the Immission Control Sensors.

This is a pretty simple one, if you know someone with a multimeter, the car should be producing a minimum of 13.8 volts at the battery with the vehicle running, if the vehicle is not running the battery will be about 12.4 approx. volts.  If the vehicle is making anything less than 13.8 you have an alternator problem.  A bad or dying alternator will kill a battery very quickly.  Good luck

YOUR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL NOT COME ON IF THE ALTERNATOR IS NOT CHARGING, HOWEVER IN MOST CASES THE BATTERY LIGHT SHOULD BE ON, NUT NOT ALL THE TIME. JUST HAVE A CHARGING SYSTEM CHECK DONE AND IT SHOULD TELL YOU IF IT'S CHARGING, IT MAY ALSO HAVE A SLIGHT DRAW ( SOMETHING TAKING POWER FROM THE BATTERY WHILE THE VEHICLE IS OFF).
