LDS. Is anybody else having trouble with their Yahoo Answers email?
I tagged as LDS cuz they are people I deal with most often.I am either NOT getting my email or it is being drastically delayed. When I post a question the responses dont start coming in for quite awhile and then they come in all at once. I got a quick notice about a violation while checking question responses yesterday. I checked and the question has been removed, but I STILL have not gotten a formal notification in my email. I also JUST discovered that some of my mail from Yahoo "Answers" people, being sent to my REGULAR email, has been going into my SPAM folder!!! I have no idea what has been lost.Among other things, there was a lengthy letter from one of the "DUCK" clan, sent back on the16th. I marked it along with the rest to be sent back to my INBOX and hit SEND intending to read and respond from there. DUMB MOVE on my part, as they are now hung up getting INTO my email and I cant read them at all!! GRRRRR. I SHOULD have read first and moved them second!! CRAP!! Hopefully they will show up later!! Anybody else having this kind of trouble?
"welcome to the secret and hidden ...."
I REALLY do NOT want to believe what you are saying is true as I have quite a few Mormon friends who are active and valued contributors to my Mormon research project. I WILL say that the research has shown things happening at higher evels that the average member knows NOTHING about, so there MIGHT be some truth in it. I dont know how to get around very well in the forum or other places besides answers. Can anybody provide some urls showing that the Mormons are being asked to watch, or interact on the behalf of the church, via the internet.? What are some other credible reference sources supporting what this rsponder has said and how can I find them? Anybody?
{{"EDIT: Wow 'hanging in there.' I can't believe you would even consider believing that there are Mormon internet spies....."}} I have been debating on responding to this privatly, but decided against it. I dont LIKE thinking it, but put yourself in MY shoes and see what you might think. I recently posted a question about the church and its members wearing or not wearing crosses. I was looking at my question responses and got a quick notice of a VN which pops up on right hand of screen. I went back to my inbox and found no formal notice. I then checked my list of questions and it showed the cross question as having been deleted. They also deducted the points. This was 4 days ago and I STILL have not received a formal notification, which means I can not file an appeal. If I am getting VNs without proper notification it is happening through YAs site/staff and could result in having this acct shut down unfairly and with no warning.
I have to be very careful how I post my questions and any responses to people who answer because there are a certain few people who will report things they dont like or dont want members to know. I can give you examples of this but just trust me for the moment, K? Due to having to be THAT careful I know there were NO VNs in the cross question. I posted a question concerning things people would like to change about the church if they could. It was up for 2 days, had 35 answers and 12 stars. It was deleted for not being a question or an answer. OK it was DEFINITLY a properly formatted QUESTION so I filed an appeal. The appeal was denied in less than 24 hours and did not come with standard option to file a second one. That by itself is strange, but not unheard of. Then it gets even better!!
Because I was not offered an opportunity for my second appeal, I decided to Google and pull up the "cached" copy of the deleted question and send it along with an appeal filed with a standard form available elsewhere on the site. Strangest thing. The question had been up for 2 days, yet even the CACHED copy has totally vanished and that can only be done from Yahoo head quarters. Now you tell me....wouldn't YOU wonder if there was something strange happening in high places??
I dont think the Mormon church OR Yahoo answers knows or cares about this project. I do not believe there is a spy ring watching it either. What I DO believe, is that an individual YA's employee, for PERSONAL reasons, is going the needed EXTRA MILE to get rid of certain content simply because THEY CAN. There is another reason deleted contentmay not have a cached copy made, but it doesn't apply to this paticular question. I cant explain it now cuz there is a storm comming in FAST and I need to shut the puter down. Laterzzz
