I would suggest you give him some time, maybe he's not hungry. And especially Tea Cup poodles, they dont eat alot at all. Reserchers show that Tea Cups dont need to eat for 10 hours, but they do need to drink. Also if he's new he might need some time to adjust here. And the fact that he's 8 weeks old, he should drink before two days, and eat before 5 hours. As he grows older and matures he will eat alittle bit more. Dont worry this is normally around what they should be doing, but 18 hours? Maybe you should coax it into eating alittle bit more, even if its just a dog treat because he will need some energy in him. At lease he's drinking, thats the important thing! Good Luck!

It may well be that you new pup is just settling into his new home.

At 8 weeks the feeding schedule I used was 7:00am, 11:00am, 15:00 and 19:00. Missing a couple of meals should be fine, if he doesn't eat soon then a check up at the vets will set your mind at rest.

Are you giving your pup the same food at the breeder?

If you are maybe add something smelly and tempting to your pups food like a little cooked liver or pilchard if he's on kibble. You could also try a little chicken or turkey mince with rice to tempt him to eat.

It's normal for a pup not to eat when they first get home. They're nervous and scared and have been ripped away from everything they've known in their short lives.

As long as he's drinking water, he'll be OK - later today or tomorrow, he'll eat with a vengeance!

As far as the "Teacup" thing goes, well, there is no such thing as a Teacup <ANY> breed. I hope you didn't pay any more than you would for a Toy Poodle, if you payed extra for the Teacup size, you got ripped off by a Backyard Greeder.

First 8 weeks is still alitttle young for your pup to leave it`s mother.
You have to remember it`s surrounding has been drasticly altered. It just got taken away from its mother and siblings.
If in 2 days it still has not eaten take it to your vet.
For now try putting some food in your hand, don`t worry if it is soft food, you can wash your hands after. If your feeding dry food try wetting it with water first and let it soften first before feeding.
This will help the pup trust you as its provider and protection.
If the pup goe`s off its water as well for more than a day take it to the vet,as dehydration will set in.

As long as he is drinking some water he should be fine, pups do sleep a lot at that age. If he does not eat after 48 hours have the vet check him out. It would also help if you knew what the pup was eating before you got him, and continue on the same diet for a while.
