Why the people reply wrong answers to the questions here?

I was wondering that people reply the questions only to get points here, or to help the questioner. Most of the answers to questions will be wrong or misleading the people. I believe these forums are to help those asking questions... what you say?

I answer questions to help people, the points are just a nice little bonus. It makes me feel good when I can help someone with a question or a problem. However, there are many people who respond just to get the points, or be a smart-alec, or think they're funny. You have to learn to ignore them sometimes. Hope this helps. Good luck!
