2007 GMC Sierra with active fuel management?

Question

I like the active fuel management except for one thing.It's too touchy.The slightest thing puts it back to v8 mode.So does anyone know how i could add a switch to prevent that?I'd like to be able to force it to stay in v4 mode.Does anyone have any ideas how i could do that?Does it work off the TPS?If not what triggers it between modes?Thanks in advance.

I agree with the other answer. Its a new technology and it will take a few years to really become "normal"...until then just persist because any fiddling will void your new car warranty.

Don't mess with it. You will void the warranty and could really mess something up. Talk to your dealer in see if this is normal.
