ok we have a 1993 chrysler lebaron it has had major transmission work in the past 3 years it took 3 transmissons out so far and the 4th one was rebulit and it has been running for a year now the problem is the tranny waits about 5 seconds or less to clunk into drive and sometimes when it changes gears it clunks there is no tranny fluid leaking and the the check engine light is not on so is it failing or is there another problem withen the engine or the tranny???

I don't know the answer to your question but here are a couple of web sites, one dealing with Chrysler transmissions, and one that explains how to retrieve error codes, and their meanings. One thing that it stresses quite strongly is to use only ATF+3 transmission fluid. ...Good Luck... http://www.allpar.com/fix/trans.html http://www.allpar.com/fix/codes.html
Sounds like its going bad. have you checked your fluids? That might be a good place to start. You might change your fluid and filter. Whom ever built the tranny may have left contaminants or burrs in the tranny and clogged the filter. Most likely the tranny is going but you don't have much to lose by trying the fluid and filter. Good look.
wow thats alot of trannies.... ANYWAY you may need consider your mechanic.. mainly if the mechanic that put the 1st tranny in is the one who also done your other work... you should be having no problems.. it is very uncommon to have 4 transmissions go out on there own.. anyway you should have a mechanic look at the flywheel it may be incorrectly installed and is killing all the trannies... but in this case yes it sounds like your current transmission is going down hill fast..
Is the fluid level full? is the fluid really nasty, or have a burnt smell? Personally if a car had given me that much trouble with a transmission it would be in a junkyard somewhere.
it sounds like the tran. is going again i have a1996 camaro had it completely rebuilt in Feb. its been back twice luckily i have a life time warranty but I've had a couple front wheel drive cars and the trans. went that is exactly what they did before they went
