A blog that requires a login to view?

I'd like to put up some photos and text, but to make them unavailable to the whole world, just to my family and friends. Does anyone know of a site where I can do this? I have a blogspot blog, but I don't know how to make posts there "invisible" to the world, except for those few to whom I provide a password so they can see my posts.

Gerbil- Perfect! Being something of a techno-luddite, I'll keep my regular blog. But now I can make another blog with stuff only for my family and friends. Thanks!

On Blogger...

By default, your blog is completely public, and can be read by anyone on the internet. However, if you want to keep it private, you can do that, too. The setting for this is on the Settings | Permissions tab.

Under the Blog Readers heading, you‘ll probably see "Anybody" selected as the default. When you change this to "Only readers I choose," you’ll get an Add Readers button.

Click the Add Readers button and then enter the email address of a person to whom you want to grant access to your blog. To add multiple people, separate their addresses with commas.

WordPress (http://wordpress.com/) has that option available.
The only problem is that you need to have your own domain, hosting, database, download the package from the site I listed above and install it. Hosting will run you 3-4$/month, some providers allow you to have a free URL for that as well.

While not complicated at all and has plenty of beginner-friendly documentation, it could be intimidating.
I am not familiar with any "host-free" stations since I don't use them, but if you decide to follow the path I briefly described above and have trouble, feel free to contact me privately. =)

Cheers.
