Ok, I have an antivirus software that came with my laptop, Norton Internet Security 2007, It used to work perfectly except now my subscription has expired and every time I try to renew it tells me that there is a problem with Symatec Live Update and it needs to close. And now I also can't start the computer in Safe Mode With Networking it stops at the Loading Drivers PLease Wait
Windows\system32\drivers\crcdisk.sys
Ok, Im freaking out now. Malware? If i run Windows Defender it says my computer is running normal and that no malicious or unwanted software detected. What to do?

Also, I meant that it downloads the file and it appears on my computer for a like 2 seconds and then is gone! And when I try to search for it all it finds is the shortcut in the Mozilla Downloads Screen.

This really sounds like you have malware on your computer blocking some internet functionality..

I highly suggest you download some malware removal tools (Spybot, AdAware) and run them. It sounds like something hijacked your browser and has reduced functionality.. It's unlikely that Firefox is the culprit behind this.

You may have to go to safemode to download these, but they can be ran in normal mode afterwards. If this doesn't work update your question and I can suggest something else to try.

Hope this helps

Look for some firewall active on you network which is denying the browser to download

i think of you have a issue on your working gadget (or antivirus) than firefox. i'm utilising firefox 3.5 for a pair of week and it works lots quickly and soft and with out crash, attempt to uninstall the previous variations of firefox and use Disk Cleanup and delete history and cookies and ... examine your startup courses (commence>run>form msconfig>startup) and then restart your pc and set up firefox. you shouldnt have any issue with it, you need to use their comments provider too
