I have just moved to a new school where I joined their high school cheer squad. I made the team, but the only problem is, they don't stunt, tumble, or compete. The squad is unable to do these things because the school can't afford the coaches and equipment we would need. Is there any way I can help make the squad better and possibly get us to start doing these things?

Make an appointment with the principal and ask him how much money you would need for a coach and the equipment. You all need to figure out how to raise money. Then find a teacher that is willing and able to be the coach. If you live near a gymnastics center that will allow cheer teams to practice, find out how much it would be and see if you can get another school that has a cheer team to maybe split the costs with you. This would be a good way to make friends with another school. Everyone is either selling candy, or gift wrap all the time. You should do something different. Like sell people hours that you will help them do things in their homes, like cleaning out attics, garages, basements, helping in the gardens, babysitting for family. Put a price range for items like 2 hours for $40, for babysitting you could say 2 hours $30 for 2 kids, for more kids add $5. You can do this for each girl. This would be a good way to get the community involved. Good Luck.
