Is getting the component cable for the Wii worth it?

I have a 46" LCD, 1080p TV and the Nintendo Wii. I'm using the cables that came with the Wii right now and every thing is looking good. My TV does have the ability to hook up component connectors. What I would like to know is, is it worth the $25 some odd dollars to buy the component connection cables for the Wii? Is there a noticeable difference that would make it a worth while purchase or is it not really worth it?

I have a 1080p set myself and the images from my Wii look really good with just composite cables. I haven't tried the component cables but the best rez you can get is 480p, from what I've read. Is it worth it? Personally, no. Some cables I saw were anywheres from 30 to 60 bucks. I'd save your money for a game unless you really think it might make a difference. If it were 720p or 1080i to 1080p gameplay and the graphics were a lot better for the games, then I'd seriously consider it.

On some games, there is a noticeable difference. On others, you can't really tell.

A pretty simple comparison would be looking at Smash Bros Melee for Gamecube. If you liked playing with the settings for a sharper and crisper image, you'd likely benefit from the component cable. On the other hand, if you liked the softer, smoother image, the composite cable that you already have is fine. (if you didn't have that game, I suppose it's a bad comparison).

It will make all of the lines clearer and sharper - text is much easier to read, but if a game has jaggies/rough edges, those jaggies will be worse.

Well i reccomend it, if you want to get the most juice from your wii, get them, the picture becomes noticeably sharper and brighter. if you want to have best picture quality get the component cables. 480i composite is designed for sdtvs 640x480, when 1080p is 1920x1080, even though it stays at 640x480, it wont be interlaced which is a major difference
