Question about home remedies for mild migraines?

In the last year and a half I have developed migraines. I never used to have them before starting work where I am now, but now I have a mild to moderate one every two weeks or so. I've only had to go to the hospital once so far this year because I take Vicodin for my back and that usually staves off any that develop. Is there anything else I can try to keep a migraine away, or to get rid of one once it's started. I also take a daily medication to help with the migraines.

I have had migraines for apx 6 years now. Nothing takes them away except percocet or stronger, since a lot of docsdonot want to perscribe any narcotics now I use these things to help...At places like bed, bath and beyond they have these wraps that feel like thay have beans in them but they are full of all natural things like lavender in them and you can put it in the microwave to heat it up and it helps me a lot, also hot baths. and it may sound wierd but sex will take it away for a while,my doctor laughs but it's common. everyone had different migraines. some people have to lay down where it's dark and quiet, but my ears ring a lot so i can't do that. the best thing is to try lots of stuff and when it works write it down and write down your triggers too, like mine are ciggarette smoke oranges mint ect. try to pinpoint what they are and stay away from the. good luck hop you feel better!!!
