When you dream about someone does that mean that their soul was with you in the dream while you was sleeping?

I just want to know. In the dream world their are other people that are already there. Some of these people you know and some of these people you don't recognize. When we dream about the people that you know does that mean that our soul was with them for that particular time. (Example. Let's say that you dream about your boyfriend does that mean that he dreamed
about you too. Or does that mean that you two just crossed paths. Or does that mean that just only you dreamed about him and he didn't dream about you?)

I believe that our soul where with them. I believe that before we went to sleep our thoughts were thinking of them somewhat.For the part of do they dream of us , iam not sure because i dreamt of my dad and he is dead so i dont know if he were dreaming of me.

I don't think that you can share a dream with another person, otherwise they would remember being with you too.  I think that the people you interact with in your dreams are just parts of yourself.  The rest are extras made by your mind to create the scene.  It would be great to think that we could share dreams and communicate with others through them but there is no solid proof of this.
