You ask, I ask, who asks?

Hey everybody,
So here's my question: I've heard that for guys it builds up their self-esteem if they ask a girl out and also it's good for them because it shows the girl that he's interested, and that he's willing to put himself on the line of embarrassment to ask her. But I've also heard that guys like it when girls ask them out because it shows that the girl is interested. So what do you guys think? Guys, do you like it more when you ask a girl out or when she asks you out? and girls-do you find it easier to ask him out and get it out of the way, or let him come to you?
Personally, I think that the guy should work for it, I'm old fashioned =)
Thanks everyone!

I think that if you like somebody you should ask them, because if you think the guys should ask, and you like a guy, but he doesn't know it. He won't ask you if he has no interest, however, that doesn't mean he wouldn't be interested if you did ask. So then you won't know if he could ever like you.

Well, i personally think that girls should sometimes ask boys out, just cause i am a guy and dont have the guts to ask them out myself. But i think why most of the guys are nervous about asking is about what strange rumours will be around as soon as he asks. Sometimes it helps if the girl asks, it will give the boy a little self-esteem.

I too am a bit old fashioned but I don't mind asking a guy out. it saves so much time in some cases. If I waited for them, I would be waiting awhile. No point in that.

It could help him build nerve if he asks, however, it could save a lot of time if you do, you can always work on his nerve later if he needs it. It would help his self esteem if you asked him though, considering that he knows, at that point, that you are completely interested in him. Knowing that could lead him to come onto you more quickly in future conditions.
