I really should have said i live in Southeast Michigan. I'm fairly good at birds. It doesn't look like a hobo can be found here.

One of the many links i've tracked down says that the Dark Fishing Spider has been seen in town not far from me. And, it says that you can count rows of eyes for ID. My best photo isn't all that great for counting rows of eyes. I may have to get more pix. I took a dozen pix, and many had insufficient focus. I only added the quarter for later shots, but these were better. I really don't want to flip it over to identify gender.

This other pix shot has the W on the back.

It looks to me like a Fishing Spider, (probably Dolomedes tenebrosus).
Here's a site with a pic. and some info. about them:

Hope that helps.

Added:- Yep. I knew you were in Michigan when I suggested it might be a Fishing Spider. I looked through your questions to find out - not to be a stalker, just to help identify the spider. You do get Dolomedes tenebrosus in Michigan.
Here's a link with the eye pattern for Fishing Spiders, so you will be able to have a look at the spider and see if they match up.

sure it may desire to be a brown recluse and specific they're poisonous yet don't be all in favour of suggestions from the disgusting photos the guy above published as that's been shown that maximum folk bitten via brown recluses get well with none extreme subject. those photos are of bites from unproven components and are greater probably from a secondary an infection by using fact the people did no longer handle the wound appropriate. it may additionally be a wolf spider or a eu abode spider the two non venemous. Spiders do no longer desire to chew you and could keep away from you every time feasible. they regularly basically chew whilst trapped or being squished. I actual have researched alot of bugs and spiders as my son is allergic to all of them. And we've 2 Entamologists( they learn bugs) in our relatives.
