Can cologne go bad? or change scent?

I used to use the cologne Curve all the time, I haven't used it for about a year and have been using Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio. Well tonight I bought some Curve, and brought it home and it smells weird? kinda bad...not like it used too....it used to smell really good.

yep, i kept my Dior pure poison perfume on my desk near a window and eventually the smell of it changed completly. It wasn't bad, just a little weird. In this case it changed quite fast, in a matter of weeks.Another bottle that i had for years and didnt use very often changed as well but very slowly.

As far as I know it depends on where the cologne was based. I had an oil based cologne and I spilled it in my bag, after some time my bag has some weird and bad smell. Though I've never experienced it with other colognes like the alcohol based and water based (They evaporate fast).

Yes it can, if left directly in the sunlight or you haven't used it within a year or 2 chuck it out and get some more! :)
