Health men body building... odd pain in left knee?

Hi ye all in yahoo land. I have being bodybuilding for about a year now and have noticed that when I am on the bench I get odd pains at the top of my right knee. I am not using very heavy weights only about 25kg or about 50 odd pounds, should I be worried.
PS I did damage my knee a bit about 20odd years ago when I was a kid.

Body building exerts constant wear and tear on the body; and a slight pain on the knee may indicate strain on the tissues surrounding your knee. I doubt it is a fracture, but if you want to be sure, and you have good insurance, you might as well get it xray'd.

Otherwise, the best medicine for sprains/strains or any type of mild soft tissue injury is to R.I.C.E. Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate. Continuing to lift weights is probably preventing the soft tissues around your knee from healing completely. Try taking it easy for a week or two, put some ice on it, wrap it with an AceWrap, and Elevate it on a pillow while you're sitting or laying. Take Motrin to decrease the inflammation, which might stop the pain.

If you do this, and it does not improve, I would definitely go get it checked by a doctor, who should refer you to an orthopedist.

Hope this helps.

you'll purchase spray that you just spray onto sore joints, this does truthfully aid, it absorbs into your pours i suppose, however the suffering is almost always from as you sa y you dont play sporting events, good say in case you rise up to rapidly your joints dont react fast ample and its striking strain in your joints, thats occurred to me bofore, but it surely went away by way of the following day, i simply had a tub, used a few warmth spray, however no longer after the bathtub or youl burn!! youve gotta settle down earlier than you employ it, after which check out get a tight nights sleep :)
