Any ideas for a formula problem with a 3 week old?

My 3 week old son has been having problems with formula (wife was told by dock she can't breastfeed because of medication she takes), at the hospital they had him on the enfimil lipil, he wouldn't drink it, and when he finally gave in and drank out of hunger he'd puke it all back up, so they put him on enfamil prosobee, he drank it but it gave him extremely painful gas and constipation, so the pediatrician switched him to the enfamil gentleease, he willingly drinks this as well, but usually vomits it all back up within 10-15 minutes after feeding. Is this a frequent problem out there, or is this an issue I need to insist my pediatrician takes a closer look at? Baby has been gaining weight as he should and seems fine other than the feeding problems. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Our 7 week old went through the vomiting phase for the first few weeks (projectile too!). Is the vomit accompanied by a burp? Perhaps try burping 2-3 times during a feed and keep him upright for around half an hour post feed. I've heard that the milk content in the vomit is pretty low, so they aren't actually losing as much as what you'd think when they vomit.

My son uses the Lipil works for him but he's gassy from the back end :) so I gave him the gentleease and helped with gas but he did throw it up a lot. I find the burping really helps to soothe the tummy

Babies often seem to be chucking up everything they drink, but this is rarely the case. If your son is healthy and gaining an adequate amount of weight, he is getting enough formula.
You could try a slower teat and burp him more frequently during the feed.
Good luck!

it could be acid reflux or the baby is lactose intolerant .try soy and see if it works. how much are you feeding the baby? he may be drinking too much thats why his lil tummy bothers him
