Many nations considered them to be "two spirited" and to have the Creator's favor. Being prejudiced against gays is a "religous" thing and certainly not a native american cultural thing. The media absolutely avoids addressing indian issues. There are too many irrefutable facts that lead to one conclusion and that's not a comfortable one for many folks.
