What's the most user friendly desktop publishing software out there?

I'm publishing a very small national newspaper but I'm new to desktop publishing. Any thoughts?

There is not much choice actually. The two professional programs are Adobe InDesign and QuarkXpress. If you are on a tight budget there is also Scribus which is free. It is not that good but it does the job. Everything else will probably be too amateur to run a newspaper.
Personaly I prefer InDesign.
