I know there are substantial differences between U.S. and U.K. English, but are they major differences between U.S. and Canadian English. I'm doing a website that is going to include content for Canada, and we'll have French Canadian translations made. In the past, I've had someone in the UK provide "translations" for that market, and I'm wondering if I should do the same for Canada.

OK I'm american(california) and have many canadian friends, so: They're almost exactly the same, but canadians spell a few words like the british and a few words are pronounced differently. We say soda, they say pop. We say pasta like the italians they say the first a like in apple. But they're closer to each other than either one is to british or even australian.

You're talking about written English it seems? In spoken English, Canadian and American varieties are very similar. In written forms, Canadians will generally follow British spellings (labour, center, industrialise) rather than American. The differences aren't large however.

Canadian English is practically the same as BrE(British English)
