Billups was my fave. I just wish him luck in Denver. Although I know that it was Billups, Dyess, and Samb that were traded for Iverson, sources from ESPN says that Dyess is not happy about playing for Denver. That can only mean one thing! Dyess could be coming back to Detroit! Hopefully that happens.

I do think that this is a risky trade. Iverson is aging and so is Billups, but Iverson is one of the elite players we have today in the NBA. The starting lineup for the Pistons is going to be amazing, but again his age will be a big factor.

There is a big possibilty of Iverson winning his first NBA title. He is surrounded by the besting starting five in the NBA.

Whatup Marius B,

I actually think that the Pistons took a step back by making this deal. First let me just preface by saying that I Love A.I. But for the Pistons making this deal should have to do with advancing their chances to win the title.

They are losing Chauncy Billups - A.I. can replace his points easily and then some- but they are losing some things defensively. As well as Chauncy's ability to control and Quarterback the Offense. I'm not sure why the Pistons waited 3-4 games in the season instead of during the pre-season. Rodney Stuckey now has a bigger role- but are they sticking Stuckey in the starting line up or going with A.I. and Rip Hamilton in the backcourt.

The Pistons also lose a lot in losing McDyess. It is being said that McDyess is being bought out- so i'm not sure where he's going after that. A lot of teams can use a McDyess and he could even sign on with the Lakers, Celtics, etc. near the end of the season- kind of like PJ Brown last year- but he has more game than that- defensively i think the Pistons took two steps back- even though they got an incredible scorer in Iverson. I don't think the move makes them any closer to the Championship and is probably a step back for them.

This commerce seems very exciting to me. First, that's in straightforward terms a week of NBA Basketball, and already Joe Dumars and the Denver Nuggets have pulled off a blockbuster commerce. seems extraordinary. Now, Detroit seems to love Allen Iverson for his scoring skill, and his management on the court docket and stale. He hasn't shown his scoring skills in Denver that plenty, because he had to play PG in Denver. There are questions approximately this. Will A.I play PG? Will Stuckey be the commencing PG? If A.I performs SG, what is going to the minutes between him and Rip be? Denver became the clever one in this commerce actual. Chauncey Billups is a bypass first factor safeguard, and he would not tension up photos. Chauncey will in all probability play nicely with Melo, because Melo has greater scoring skills then C.B. McDyess is likewise a sturdy addition, because of the fact he brings a sturdy frontcourt to the team, and maximum of all, he's proficient in relatively much each ingredient. a sturdy ingredient approximately Detroit is that Stuckey would have the skill to be greater developed, the two as a backup for the respond, or a starter. he will have the skill to play nicely with A.I, and would have the skill to blossom right into a nicely-rounded factor safeguard. that's my diagnosis.

Nope, it was a big mistake Pistons have done. Joe Dumar of Pistons will regret.

no, it was a HUGE mistake, iverson is about the worst fit on a really good team, that just lost the guy who controls the whole team.
