If Obama wins can we end affirmative action? ?

If Senator Obama wins the Presidency tonight can we end affirmative action in the United States?

It would seem by him reaching the most powerful office in the land the need for this policy would would be moot.

How can anyone support it when Obama is in office?

I believe that affirmative action should be changed to benefit poor people and shouldn't be based on race.
A rich minority has more educational opportunities than a poor white which I don't believe is fair.
