How to naturally lighten/highlight your hair?

Can I use anything at home to lighten my hair color?
I don't want to go to the salon, or the store.

Thanks.

cover it in lemon juice and get out in the sun that will lighten it or theres this stuff you can buy in the store its called sun in you spray it in every day and it lightens it ive done both and they both work but i like the lemon juice better

i know this sounds totally weird but if you put peroxide in your hair (whether in streaks or just an all over look), and sit out in the sun for a hour or so...it will lighten your hair up in no time! i did this a couple different times, and my hair was amazingly blonde and highlighted (im brunette...=)

however do not do this too many times because i think if you treat your hair too much like this it will start feeling kinda mushy...But only if done too much, as my hair was fine...=)

also note that you can add lemon juice for a little extra lightening and it smells a lot better anywayz...its in the Sun-In brand

well you can mix lemon juice with water...don't use like store bought lemon juice, just squeeze out the juice from a lemon and mix it with water put in a spray bottle. if you want to lighten your whole hair then spray it all over then go out into the sun for a while. also there is this stuff called Sun In....its a spray made to lighten the hair with the sun, it has lemon in it as well. its about 4 bucks and ive heard it works. try sun-in.com. Good Luck!

Put lemon juice in your hair and go spend some time in the sun. That should do the trick.
