I'm looking for a nice place to eat dinner near the Rockafeller Center Area in NYC?

Nice place to take a date, not ridiculously expensive

This is a great way to find a good restaurant and spend less money too.
Type in the zip code, pick a restaurant, and save. Enjoy.

I like the Rock Center Cafe. It's on the lower lobby of the Rockefeller Center Complex, right next to the skating rink. As you dine, you can watch people skate...

They have a beer dinner (4 courses paired with beers) about once a month, between Feb. and October. But I've been there for regular dinners as well.

You can read their menu on-line and see if it fits your price range. Their sister restaurant is the Sea Grill, on the other side of the rink.

There are loads of great places to eat a few blocks away from rockafeller center.

Two i liked the most:
1. MAMA MEXICO - 214E 49st/3rd Ave (they have a live mariachi band during dinner time, food is good, drinks are decent, nice eating section)

2. LASAGNA RISTORANTE - 941 2nd Ave/50th St. (good food, not too expensive, nice easting section)

Brasserie Ruhlmann is very nice on 50th street between 5 &6 Avenues. It needn't be too expensive if you choose the right items on the menu. There is one restaurant that I have to tell you to avoid like the plague - I think they hand it out with every meal - Alfredo's of Rome. Even the salad was rotten. Forget about the rest of the meal - how can you possibly serve rotten greens and think it's okay or think that no one would notice?

Think Luxia on 48th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues. Or, Pigalle in the hilton Garden Inn on 48th street and 8th Avenue. Sea Grill is another possibility with its views of the Tree and the ice skating rink. That is on 49th street between 5th and 6th Avenues. There's also Bar Americain where I was thinking of taking my boyfriend. It's one of Bobby Flay's restaurants. It is on 52nd Street between 6th and 7th Avenues.

There are so many good places around there. I hope this helped a little. Good luck to you!

i like the Rock center Cafe. it rather is on the decrease foyer of the Rockefeller center complicated, suitable next to the skating rink. As you dine, you are able to watch people skate... they have a lager dinner (4 classes paired with beers) approximately as quickly as a month, between Feb. and October. yet i've got been there for generic dinners as properly. you are able to study their menu online and notice if it suits your budget. Their sister eating place is the sea Grill, on the different part of the rink.
