How can I find the title of deleted MP3s?

I accidentally deleted my Music file, and had to do a file recovery to get them back. But now instead of the original title, it has generic titles such as Dc83.mp3. Is there any way I can find out the original names of the songs. There's too many to try and figure it out by ear...

I had all the music in the folder called "My Music". My comp got a virus, so I had to backup everything so it could be restored. I tried to transfer all of my old songs into a new folder when I accidently deleted them. I recovered them all and they are back on my computer but some of the files have the titles missing. Some of them read the DC....mp3, but have the artist and title underneath in grey-and when you hover near it, it shows artist, album, track number etc. However, some of them don't have the extra info, so I have no idea what songs they are. So I just wonder if there's anything I can do to get the info. Doing an MP3 search won't help me-I have all the files, I just need to get their original names

Try a right click and see if "properties" has any info in it.

The fact that they are called DCxxx.MP3 means that you have recovered them from the recycle bin. All files that are binned look like they have the original name - but they are really called DCxxx.xxx

Is there perhaps another recovered folder with the items before the went to the recycle bin?

im not sure if this is even helpful but at least try it, i think youre supposed to RIGHT-click the song album (you kno the one with the square picture on it) and when the box appears up click "find album info" and itll give you a list of the songs albums that would show you the name of songs in that album, not sure if thats wat ur really looking for
