What effect do you think music has on water?

A few days ago I was reading a book about water. (the Hidden Messages in Water) Basically, someone would say words to the water, (such as peace, love, happiness, etc) then freeze it and see what the crystals looked like. When they said words/phrases such as Thank You and Love for Hummanity, the crystals were beautiful. When they said words such as Hate and War, the crystals were all deformed. They also did the same experiment with music.

With one glass of water they played "Imagine" to it. The water crystal was beautiful. When they played Bach, Beethoven, and a certain Folk song, to the water, it had the same effect. When he played a heavy metal song to the water... it didn't turn out so good.

So, if you were to play your favorite song to a glass of water, then freeze it, what do you think the crystals would look like? Would it be amazingly beautiful? Ugly and deformed? Be honest. Even if you happen to love a song about slaughtering virgins, I don't think the crystals would turn out looking so great.

Just something to think about.

(Here is a website about it, if someone is interesed)

(If you go to this site, it'll show the way the crystals looked when exposed to certain words/songs/prayers)

Favorite Answer

Well my favorite song is S.I.N. by Ozzy Osbourne, and it's pretty much about the voices inside Ozzy's head, and his personal demons, etc.. So the crystals would probably not be so pretty.

That's wonderful. It's a bit odd that you read a book about water but that just means that you probably have a very interesting choice in selecting books. Fascinating.

I was very intrigued, I've got to say that's pretty unusual.

My current favorite song, which is also what I'm listening to at the moment is Trains by Porcupine Tree. I think that's a beautiful song, it's not too intense but rather calm. It may not be Beethoven style but I believe the crystals would still appear as beautiful.

Wow, this is weird I was asking about you today in the chat and then you pop up! :)

That's really interesting Wake.
My favorite song at this moment is "Crashing Around You" by Machine Head.
It's Metal. I think the ice crystals would come out deformed, honestly. Even though it's a great song.
Good question.

That's really quite interesting.

I think if they played the song Fade To Black by Metallica it would be a very majestic yet simple water crystal.
