1. Have you made an appointment with your family doctor or Gyn?
2. Have you gone to the emergency room?
3. Get off the computer and go the emergency room. Like now. The E.R. Physicans can order the following: blood work, a urinalysis, conduct a Gyn exam, order an ultrasound (abdominal or intervaginal) or order a CAT scan (Computerized Axial Tomography Scan) in addition to pain meds. Good luck to you whatever you decide.
Edit:
To the guy below me: Do you know how many CAT Scans have saved lives? The benefits far outweigh the exposure to radiation. A good majority of Gastroenterologist use CAT Scans as a "major" dignostic tool in identifying diseases such as diverticulitis, Small Bowel Obstructions, Liver Disease, Pancreatitis, Colon cancer, stomach cancer and other diseases.
Also, you have to be really careful when you start "assuming" that the appendix, gallbladder, and liver are were you "think" they are. Typically the "appendix" is located in the RLQ. Some people have what's known as situs inversus or reversed internal organs. The bottom line is that you are doing her an injustice by telling her not to have a CAT scan. Ultrasounds aren't as sensitive as CT's. Ultimately it's up to her, the patient.
To me, sounds like irritable bowel syndrome. The good news is that about the only major things on the left side are the descending colon, left ureter, and the left ovary. Does it burn when you pee? Are your periods different? Do you have diarrhea or constipation? You should follow up with your PCP. He can do a KUB or ultrasound to check for a kidney stone, a US will also look for a cyst or tumor, a UA to check for UTI, and possibly a stool sample. Or they can just do a CT. Good luck and God bless.
This has happened to me before, soon after i got a fever and the doctor told me my stomach was having multiple spasms. See your doctor and ask what he would prescribe. I don't think its your appendix because your appendix is on your right side. However if your are talking about someone else's left, it might be your appendix. it is also a possibility that it is an ovarian cist. Your best bet would be to go see your doctor.
It could be your appendix which is appendicitis. Don't take any chances because it's a serious condition and I don't mean to scare you. Does it hurt when you press down on that area? I would suggest that you go to your local hospital to check it out if it gets unbearable. OR you can make a regular visit to your physican ASAP
sorry I forgot to mention that since it is your left side, it may be a cyst. Make an appointment
