Is it my wisdom teeth? whats wrong with my mouth, should I go to the ER?

Ok I have an uneven jaw as it is so I dont know if it is that or my wisdom teeth. I have all my wisdom teeth still in... ATLEAST one is for sure impacted. The pain comes and goes but this last week its unbearable I dont even know what it is. My whole face, jaw, ear, nose mouth teeth just throbs in every way. It almost feels like my jaw is gonna lock. My eyes tear up so bad and my left eye can barley open when this happens. My nose feels like its just gonna start pouring out blood. I took two strong IB profins, and the pain is almost away but I still feel pressure in my nose and eyes. What is this should I go to the ER PLEASE HELP. I feel like I cant breathe right now but I dont know if I have gone into panick mode

Being in the dental field for some 20 yrs or so, you should go to the ER if your dentist is not open on weekends. All the ER physician will do is check to see if there is any infection and maybe get you an antibiotic if it is and in some severe cases a prescription for pain. You will then have to follow up with your general dentist to see exactly what the problem is. It may or may not just be your wisdom teeth that is impacted that is causing you pain. An orthodontist has nothing to do with wisdom teeth extractions, unless they want you to have them extracted before braces. That is not the case here.

If you continue to ignore going to the ER or even decide not to go to the dentist afterwards for follow-up the pain will return unless you take care of the root of the problem. If you have an infection it can be dangerous to your health. Sooner or later infections affect other organs in your body.

Good Luck and I hope you feel better.

Wow it sounds like you are in a lot of pain right now. If it were me I would not go to the emergency room but I would definitely go see a dentist or orthodontist as soon as possible. Don't panic either, you are not going to explode. Tell them you want to make an emergency appointment and they can try to squeeze you in. Even if you don't have insurance or anything, a lot of orthodontists allow you to schedule a free consultation to see what is wrong with your teeth before doing anything.
