For you, the answer is direct sales.
The product can be anything that interest you. There are so many direct sales business out there and they are usually in the recruiting business (looking for more and more people). So finding a position can be pretty easy. They are usually flexible, perfect for a mother of 5!

Some examples:
REAL ESTATE.

Yes the market is pretty much dust, BUT there are different kinds of real estate. The truth is, there are a lot of people not buying hoses, but there are always a lot who are. The market has discouraged all the people who are not passionate about the business. You are artistic, and logical (assuming that because of your examples of interest).

If you keep your head focused on the facts of the business and keep your heart focused on the things that are important to you, you do have a shot.

You can help a customer find what they are really looking for by making the character and function of a home or office appeal to what they are looking for through simple logic and honesty.

Hope this helps.

I would suggest starting an interior design business out of your home. Create a Website...maybe take some online courses...study and research on the internet...and watch a lot of HGTV to get some ideas! Running you business at home, lets you be with your kids while making money! Good luck!
