I have mice in my basement! What do I do? I hate killing things...but these little guys carry disease and destroy things. I hate the idea of using Decon....and I I don't think I could deal with seeing a mouse dead in a trap. Are there other options out there?

Well first you need to find out how the little critters are getting in, then you need some traps, there are ones that are spring loaded and will snap there heads off, there are sticky traps that don't kill this you have to do or rat and mouse bate that they eat then die then you have dead mice all over your basement that you will have to clean up.
Cats are great for this job.
My dad had a rat in office, he gets the sticky traps you just have to kill it. Any way the mice need to die they do carry disease's. What ever you use is going to be gross it better the mice die then you get sick best of luck,

You need to get one of those rodent plug in to the wall devices,you will never have a mouse again...
We had mice in our country home, Terminix suggested them, we got them for the house, in a weeks time, no more mice, really, the sonic sound runs them off, they cant take the noise in their ears...
good luck, till you get rid of them, just stand on a chair and scream, and if your loud enough squealing, that will do and you can save the money on buying the sonic devices, ha ha just felt silly
