Anyone go to Centenary College? (read details!)?

Question

I was looking at colleges and Centenary college looks good. I wanted to minor in equine science and have a major in either fine arts or education. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about it. I heard once that unless you major in equine, the school is kind of looked down upon and not many people are really there other than for the horses. Is that true? Also, I haven't been riding for very long (like 2ish years) so I was wondering if it's really hard to get in or if I do get in, will I have trouble following/ catching up? 

*I put this in the horse category because I thought there would be a better chance of coming across a Centenary student here than in the school category so don't freak out about it. :)*

Yes, I did. I was an equine major and that is really their focus. This was several years ago, however so things may have changed since then. The facilities were really nice when I was there. 2 years not riding is not such a big deal. Knowledge on a well rounded basis is more important. If you have a chance, take a tour and talk to people. I think you will like it!

I live in the upstate NY area and while I don't know a lot about Centenary, when I hear the name I instantly think horses...  If you're looking for a different primary area, maybe look at SUNY Morrisville (they have a GREAT equine program but are also a well rounded school) or Cazenovia College?  Good luck!

Have you looked at William Woods University? They have a new arts building and are a well rounded school.
