Some will be overjoyed, but are you aware that the EU is considering legislation that will outlaw religion?
Any thoughts?

All religion? Or only Christianity? Buddhism,
Islam, Shinto, Hinduism, etc., are religions. It would
be discrimination to go after only one. Dictatorships
discriminate don't they?
If someone hands out a religious tract, or Christian tract, first...you don't need to take it. They do not
cram it into your hand ,do they? That would not be
right, in my opinion. Do they force you to read it? I have taken
materials to be nice, to see what it was, then I threw it away and I was not angry. The material was directly
against what I believed. I did not riot.
I've had visitors , I did not say where, who were
working for their church, and I welcomed them into my home. I did not allow them to think I agreed with them,
but I listened and was polite. It was my option.
They are exercising their right to freedom of religion.
If there are laws which say they cannot do that,
they are taking the risk deliberately.
I still do not understand why, if people do not believe in God, or Jesus, why they get so upset when others do. They do not get upset when they watch
Superman, or celebrate St. Patrick's Day, or Valentine's day (cupid). If God does not exist, He is a fable, Jesus is a fable, like cupid, or leprechauns, or
superman. Why do they get upset? It would be no more than someone promoting the Easter Bunny. No one
forces Jesus or God onto anyone. I don't.
I ask people if I may give them something, or if I may
say something to them about religion unless it is an open discussion. I don't make fun of others beliefs.
Mine has been made fun of. Oh well. If you come to
my home, I will allow what I please discussed.
I will say what I please, or they can leave. I am talking
of no one in particular, or specifically.
Sometimes I want to know what others believe and
why. Sometimes I have sensory overload. Can't take
any more.

Why would anyone be overjoyed at such a proposal. I am a Christian and I will always be, but I would stand strong for everyone having the freedom to worship as they choose or to not worship if they choose. Outlawing any religion, from a government is wrong. Politicians consider lots of stupid ideas, doesn't mean the people will agree or stand for them. It will not mean people will stop practicing their faith. Religion of all kinds have been around since time began, and will remain until the end of time. Governments, dictatorships, and kings/queens have tried to stamp out religion to no avail. It is impossible to do.

What is the EU, and what business do they have telling people what, and what not to believe? This sounds like total BS, by the way. I've mentioned religious freedoms here before, and what they mean to me. Trying to take our Constitutional rights away from us is an act of war and will not be tolerated.

Rubbish followed by I bet the real story is nothing like advertised followed by where is his link? then I got bored and had a look for myself
Europe's justice ministers have agreed genocide denial and race hatred legislation that will outlaw remarks which are ‘carried out in a manner likely to incite violence or hatred’. This includes publicly inciting to violence or hatred, even by dissemination or distribution of religious tracts, pictures or other material, directed against a group of persons or a member of such a group defined by reference to race, colour, religion, descent or national or ethnic origin.
My thought are now, good I am glad, because I despise people who incite hatred, it makes me feel part of a civilised union of countries, who are not afraid to tell religious nutjobs to sod off.
