Why would trust & safety remove an item from ebay for violating a policy? What rule would have been broken? ?
I have just won an ebay auction for a handbag a couple of days ago. I have completed checkout via paypal. Today a i recieved an email from ebay saying that i no longer had to pay as the item was removed by the trust & safety team.
Well, i have already paid. I can lodge a dispute with paypal. But i am unsure, the lady might have posted my bag already.
What would the reasons for the removal be? would it be that the bag could be a fake? or could it be something else?

While it's only speculation, you could have a item removed from listings for fraud, or the item was identified as being stolen, or the seller was banned for too many problems, or the seller has closed down his ebay account.

Most likely, you'll see where Paypal has credited your account back for the money you paid. Paypal is owned by ebay & they would have also received word.
