Help naming an evil sword? ?

I asked a version of this question yesterday but would like some more input

In my story Prince Mordred finds a cursed sword which drives him mad and takes control of his mind causing the events leading up to the death of his father King Arthur. The blade has made him immortal and after centuries of struggle he has gained control of the sword. The story is set in modern times and focuses on his attempts to redeem himself, and the constant battle to resist the blades evil influence.

I am thinking of using
Le cadeau la morte = french for the gift of death or
Malveillant = french for evil or malevolence

what do you think of these or if you have another suggestion I would love to hear it!

BeautyBlitz; if it were just another run of the mill sword I would agree with you, but this is a blade that caused the downfall of a legendary kingdom and doomed a man to walk the earth for thousands of years I think it rates a name.

Brahadur (bra-ha-door) Its something I just made up :) I thought it sounded kinda sinister and you can make it mean anything you want. Malveillant sounds cool to though.

Sword Names

Sangre Beberado (Blood drinker) or Espada Maligno (the Evil Sword)

it seems the guy above uses google translation LOL
blood drinker is bebedora de sangre
espada maligno is wrong... espada malignA

if you search in final fantasy games you can see a lot of name swords, most of the swords on the game are real name of swords in the real life

but if you are talking about france you can use the name of great people like Charlemagne and his sword "Joyeuse" or Charles' paladin and his Durandal was another great sword too

maybe using an existing sword name could be a good choise instead of make a new one :D

As long as the name sounds sinister then it should be fine. I would go with a made-up name such as Muk-rah. But that's just me :) I never really got into naming characters or objects after latin based words. I think it's more unique when you make up a name. I think the celts of all the languages would have the best names if you want to go in that direction.

And no, Lethal backwards sounds like a ghetto name. Why not just name the sword KFC? I mean crap.

Le Cadeau La Morte is good.

But i prefer you used english words because you mentioning about King arthur, i supposed you used the avalon's legend so better use english name like Sword of Truth

How about Sword of the Devil's Wrath, Sword of Hell's flame.
