I'm curious, when you add a comment to an already resolved question... is the person who asked the question alerted to it? Like, do they get an email so they can see that they've received a comment on their resolved question (like how you usually get one when you get an answer to your open question) or aren't they alerted to it at all?

Unfortunately, they're not notified. People have been asking for that function for a while. There are currently several suggestions in the Forum about providing notification - you may wish to read, comment, or vote on them. http://suggestions.yahoo.com/detail/?prop=answers&fid=86028 http://suggestions.yahoo.com/detail/?prop=answers&fid=124761 http://suggestions.yahoo.com/detail/?prop=answers&fid=124606 http://suggestions.yahoo.com/detail/?prop=answers&fid=123649
If you add a comment to a question, it is only seen by the poster, if the poster ever returns to the question.
It seems stupid, if you add a comment, which you would like the poster or anyone that answered the question to see, it is a matter of chance that anyone ever looks at it.
