If they were in denial, yes. Like, a lot of people in their 40's and 50's, when they were younger, homosexuality was not as accepted as it is now. But now that it is being more accepted, some may find it comfortable to come out of the closet, even if they were married to a member of the same sex.

Denial doesn't necessarily have anything to do with it. Some people simply find out much later on in life. I've known a few people that had this experience. Some of them married young and had kids and never imagined that they would ever get divorced or end up with a same-gender partner because they were very much in love with the person they married. And some of them knew they are gay but did the marriage and family thing anyway because they felt pressured to do it.

Yes, but I don't believe people "FIND OUT" that they're gay. It's that they finally are able to acknowledge it, whether it's because they're free of family or peer pressures at last, or they just get tired of being miserable while pretending to be all the things they know that they're not.

People change and I am sure that sometimes preferences change later in life. I know of some one that decided to be gay at 50. Whatever works for you, just works for you (smiles).

Yes.
A lot of people lie to themselves due to family pressure, religous beliefs, or just out of fear of not being accepted for their true selves!! :@)
