US Navy ship passing through time or space warp?

I read this from another poster on Yahoo Q&A, and I vaguely recall seeing it on one of those paranormal TV shows. There was an incident where the US Government tried to send a US Navy ship through a special space warp. They started in the Pacific Ocean and wound-up moments later in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of New Jersey (I think). The only problem was that not all of the sailors made it safely...some vanished. And the rest that did survive, had parts of their bodies embedded in the frame of the Navy ship. Does anyone know of this? Any references to it on the internet? Thanks.

Google "Philadelphia Experiment".

By the way, this is 100% bogus.
Where is the nearest space warp? Has anyone seen one?

Space warps or Worm holes are really only found in space. Im in 7th grade and I asked this question in class. That happens when the fabric of time is stretched. And do you want to know the weirdest thing???So I thought about it and. If you had twins. Doesnt matter the size or sex.....If one stayed on Earth and the other went into space for 10 years and they were both 20 to start out with...the space twin would be 25 because of the slow orbit of the Earth's rotation and the Earth to twin would be 30.

ANYWAY, That is totally unpredictable but nothing is impossible. But all I know at this moment in time is that that isn't possible.

YET...

I remember seeing that same program some time ago.
Staged or not, I am a firm believer that all things are possible - we just haven't learned how to do those things yet.

If UFO's can zoom here and take people thru walls, then we will be able to do those things in the future.
Try typing in ' quantum teleportation ' in the web search and see if anything is there. If it is real, the government and area 51 would not be telling about it. Especially the failures. Ya think?

Wow! A 7th grader with intelligent info. I am duly impressed.

I think Sri Vidya Rajgopalan has given the correct answer. But the Answer is very long. Let me explain you in short. Ram built a Bridge instead of ship because he thought, if in the war with Ravana more army of Varana is required then it will be easy to bring reinforcement through a Bridge Than to send ship.
